| What is the difference between a manager and a coach?
When I ask a sales manager or leader, 'What is the role of a sales manager or sales leader?', I generally get responses such as; creating a sales strategy, planning, managing the teams time, dealing with customer issues, resource allocation, problem solving, data analysis, interviewing, managing under performance, forecasting and updating sales figures.
When I ask, 'what is the role of a coach?', I generally hear responses such as motivating, inspirational leadership, encouraging, listening, believing in my people, involving my team and providing the development and support needed to ensure that all team members can be successful.
